Well seems I've been remiss in writing in my blog. Same goes when I tried keeping a diary. Anyway, same old stuff. Today I'm going to stay with the boys so mom and dad can get away for a few hours. Alan works hard, it's manual labor and in the heat so he deserves a little get away occasionally.
Let's see last weekend I stayed with Piper, kept her company. It was Tyler's birthday and what he wanted was to go and ride a motorcycle with his uncle Frank in Big Spring, Tx. So they did. He took off Saturday morning with his uncle and his uncle's buddies (they ride quite often), and spent the whole day with them. They really treated Tyler well and surprised him with a little party. He had a great time!
The future motorcycle champ! Well I'm just glad he was riding as a passenger and not handling the thing by himself! Although if they would let him, he probably would have!
The 11th of September I drove the company van to Ft. Worth to get it wrapped. So I stayed in a hotel that Friday night, then Saturday morning went to pick up the van. Wow! I didn't even recognize it!
It really looks sharp. After picking it up on Saturday I went to spend some time with CJ and family. Always love to visit with them. Now that Mason is there it was a treat to get to see how much he has grown. Just like his dad, Mason is 6 feet tall at the age of 13 (well almost 13, will be in December) CJ was the same way! So I'm betting by the time Mason graduates from school he'll be 6.5 like his dad! Don't know why I didn't take a picture of him and Aubrey. Missed that opportunity!
CJ never asks me for anything, but the week before Tyler's birthday, CJ needed to borrow the car. The girls needed transportation to Aubrey's game where she is a cheerleader. So I took Reece and Tyler with me and we spent the night with CJ and family. Leigha took Aubrey and the boys with her to the game and Reece an I stayed at the house. Well the team lost, but Leigha said they played hard and well.
Aubrey has many cool gadgets and one of them is a hoverboard, or whatever those things are called. Tyler thought it was cool and decided to race around the house. Of course Aubrey has great balance and knows how to maneuver around the place standing on it as you should. However, Tyler discovered another way, check out the video.
Tyler is sitting on the board instead of standing and going around the post in the house and doing circles. I think he got a little dizzy! So Reece and Harry wanted to join the fun and decided they would play chase with Tyler as he zoomed around the house.
We left on Sunday, of course the boys wanted to stay longer with uncle CJ and I promised we'd visit again when we can. Since I never like to go the same way back home on a trip, I took 281 instead of I35. Then I saw a sign for Glen Rose and since I've never been there I turned around and took the boys to Dino World! Well I thought they'd enjoy it, but of course by that time Tyler was in a mood and nothing could make him happy. So, needless to say it was a quick trip, but still I'm glad I took them. One day when I'm gone they will appreciate being able to spend time with their grandma! Hopefully!
Tyler got into the dino egg, but we couldn't convince Reese to get inside! He saw a bug on the outside so that was it for him! Still I enjoyed the trip and we made it home safe and sound. We couldn't go to the park because you needed reservations, it was full to capacity, so maybe some other time we can go through the park.
Last sunday Alan cooked burgers on the grill. Piper thought she would be able to get one too! So she sat down beside Alan and looked longingly at the burgers while he just kept telling her it wasn't for her!
Poor Piper she really wanted to dig into that beef! Can't blame her either. Her dog food stinks and burgers smell so much better! Poor thing!
Well when the kids returned last weekend from the trip to Big Spring, they brought to additions home. Two cute little kittens! Now I don't have a problem with cats, but what in the world are they gonna do when they want to go out of town! They can't leave Piper and the kittens alone in the house. In fact they haven't introduced Piper to the kittens enough for them to become friends! Oh well, not my problem and I've already told them I will not house sit all the animals while they take a vacation! Not gonna happen! CJ, if you read this SAVE ME!!!!
That's about all I've been doing this past month. New month, maybe I'll get to do something for myself this month! Yeah, right!
I'm still trying to learn about real estate investing. I did speak to someone interesting lately. In fact I may have found a partner that would like to invest in a venture for some rental property. So we'll see how that turns out. I'm looking for something that can be turned into a Bed 'n Breakfast where I can live and manage the place. So if anyone reads this and knows of something, please let me hear from you!
Well, that's all folks. I'll keep my depressed thoughts to myself and try to stop feeling sorry for myself and just enjoy the moments!
Have a great day!
